Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child and Youth Care
Experience: Candidates should have recent experience within the last 2 years working in child and youth mental health services

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have exposure to regular travel in remote locations and required to use their own vehicle on an expense account basis

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess and maintain a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with no restrictions or an equivalent license from another Canadian Province
  • The candidates should be subject to a satisfactory reference check, criminal records review, and policy record checks
  • The candidates should successfully complete security screening requirements of the BC Public Service, which may include a criminal records check, Criminal Records Review Act (CRRA) check, and enhanced security screening checks as required by the ministry

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to offer culturally sensitive and ethically sound support to clients and their families both in the community and on reserve
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with a clinician, follow tailored assessment and treatment plans, and lead engaging group programs on topics such as healthy boundaries and reducing anxiety
  • The candidates should be able to report to the Team Leader and contribute to enhancing client and family well-being while connecting them with essential services
  • The candidates should be able to join a passionate team dedicated to meaningful community impact and witness the rewarding changes they help bring about in the lives of those they support
