Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load and unload goods
- The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- The candidates should be able to perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
- The candidates should be able to conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
- The candidates should be able to perform preventive maintenance
- The candidates should be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- The candidates should be proficient in tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
