Education: Candidates should have successful completion of the Environment and Natural Resources Diploma or Criminal Justice Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have two years of related experience in the field of land administration
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have proven experience in applying principles of real estate law in enforcing land contracts, with demonstrated experience in land negotiations and resolving land administration issues with municipal councils and private and public clients
- The candidates should demonstrate proven time management skills, analytical abilities, and research skills
- The candidates should exhibit proven micro-computer skills, including a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
- The candidates should have the ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
- The candidates should possess proven interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at an advanced level, both orally and in writing, to communicate effectively and provide expert advice to clients and the general public
- The candidates should have a high degree of communication skills, both oral and written
- The candidates should have well-developed human relations skills to obtain agreement or assistance, to resolve complex problems, and/or recommend courses of action
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to commit to actively upholding and consistently practicing personal diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness, as well as safety and sensitivity approaches in the workplace
- The candidates should have successful completion of the Environment and Natural Resources Diploma or Criminal Justice Diploma, plus two years of related experience in the field of land administration
- The candidates should possess a valid class 5 Driver’s License and be able to produce a medical clearance to confirm fitness to perform the physical requirements of the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to be responsible for coordinating and implementing the land administration and land management programs and projects on Commissioner’s land in the Beaufort Delta Region
- The candidates should be able to ensure compliance with the Commissioner’s Land Act and Regulations and other relevant legislation
