Shifts: Day, Night, Weekend, Shift
Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer, Willing to relocate, Hospital/medical facility or clinic

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Medical unit, Palliative care, Surgery, Float
Credentials: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work, Intravenous (IV) therapy Certification, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, Immunization records, Adult Abuse Registry check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should excel in a fast-paced environment and be able to work effectively under pressure
  • The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks efficiently and be physically fit to manage demanding tasks
  • The candidates should possess manual dexterity for intricate work and demonstrate attention to detail in all tasks
  • The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors and have sound discrimination skills
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking and be able to stand for extended periods if required
  • The candidates should be able to manage a large caseload effectively

  • The candidates should prioritize accuracy in their work and demonstrate client focus in all interactions
  • The candidates should be dependable in meeting commitments and deadlines and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should excel in both oral and written communication and exhibit flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances
  • The candidates should show initiative in problem-solving and taking on new tasks and have interpersonal awareness for effective communication
  • The candidates should exercise good judgment in decision-making and be organized in managing tasks and responsibilities

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects accurately
  • The candidates should be able to take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitor nutritional intake, and conduct specimen collection proficiently
  • The candidates should be able to provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care compassionately and provide safety and health education to individuals and their families effectively
  • The candidates should be able to provide nursing services, within the defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures competently
  • The candidates should be able to monitor patients’ progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team appropriately
