Salary: $35.00 to $42.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 38 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time – Remote work available
Location: Saskatoon, SK
Shifts: Day, 08:00 to 16:30
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, and Vehicle supplied by employer
Work setting: On-site customer service

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years 
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, and Gloves
Air conditioning and refrigeration systems:
Rooftop (self-contained), Heat pump, Air motioning and circulation, Filtration, Humidification and de-humidification system, and Ventilation
Credentials: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification, Working at heights training, Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working in noisy environments, able to work in hot conditions, and able to work in cold or refrigerated environments
  • The candidates should also be prepared to work outdoors
  • The candidates should be physically capable of meeting demanding job requirements, able to handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods if necessary
  • They should also be comfortable with tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling, demonstrate attention to detail in their work, and possess manual dexterity for accurate task performance

  • The candidates should exhibit punctuality, strive to be accurate in their work, and prioritize client focus
  • The candidates should demonstrate dependability, have excellent oral communication abilities, and possess excellent written communication skills

  • The candidates should also demonstrate reliability and be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to install and overhaul heating systems, refrigeration systems, and ventilation, air handling, and air conditioning systems
  • The candidates should be capable of interpreting blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation, troubleshooting heating systems, and troubleshooting ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
  • The candidates should be able to assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components, measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment, and provide customer service
  • The candidates should be skilled in performing maintenance tasks such as recharging systems with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators, or calibrating systems, interpreting gas codes, handling, recovering, and storing refrigerants, and repairing and replacing parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems
