Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic scheduler, Human resources software, Database software, Project management software, Data analysis software, Electronic mail, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, SAP (FI/CO / HR / MM / OT SD), MS Access, Internet, MS Windows
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone, Internet access, Computer, Printer
Credentials: Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP)
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Area of specialization: Human resources

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programs, advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs and collective agreements, negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers
  • The candidates should be able to research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales, administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs, co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs, research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes, hire, train and supervise staff, train, direct and motivate staff
  • The candidates should be able to respond to employee questions and complaints, plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies, oversee the analysis of employee data and information, plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
  • The candidates should be able to plan and control budget and expenditures, oversee the preparation of reports, oversee development of communication strategies, oversee the classification and rating of occupations, manage training and development strategies, oversee payroll administration
  • The candidates should be able to manage contracts, establish and implement policies and procedures, assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs, organize and administer staff consultation and grievance procedures, liaise with management, union officials and HR consultants, advise senior management
