Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Post secondary education in human resources
Experience: Candidates should have several years of progressive, practical experience as a Human Resources Business Partner, generalist or specialist

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should expect a normal work week of 35 hours, with each day consisting of 7 hours
  • The candidates should be prepared for occasional overtime requirements and anticipate spending the majority of their time in an office setting
  • The candidates should note that some flexibility may be available regarding their work location and aware of the availability of flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from home

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should consider equivalencies such as several years of related experience in various areas such as recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, change management, conflict resolution, and employee or labour relation
  • The candidates should have demonstrated success in client-focused human resources coaching and consulting, while building and sustaining relationships with a diverse client base
  • The candidates should have proven experience within a complex unionized workplace and interpreting collective agreements and related legislation and Technical proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office and email Outlook and related business applications

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to engage in problem-solving, relationship-building, and change management within a unionized environment
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with subject matter specialists in areas such as employee relations, recruitment, diversity, and inclusion
  • The candidates should be able to foster strong client partnerships and operate as strategic consultants within a client account management team
  • The candidates should be able to consider system-wide impacts and collaborate with subject matter experts effectively
  • The candidates should be able to provide coaching, advice, and support on equity, diversity, performance management, and organizational structure
  • The candidates should be able to handle issues like workforce planning, attendance management, talent recruitment, and policy compliance
  • The candidates should be able to resolve conflicts and ensure adherence to policies, acts, legislation, and collective agreements
