Hôtel St-Denis, based in Montréal, QC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Hotel receptionist. Hôtel St-Denis began its life on July 3, 1929, under the name Hotel Pennsylvania. Its opening was a great dinner party during which the mayor of the time, M Houde. The then owner, Mr. Irwin N Rollman, presented an automatic golf stroke calculator as a gift to guests. With its modern facilities and 100 rooms, it was well received in this French quarter, alive with Montreal life at the turn of the century. The vaulted room in the basement is also known for its share of notoriety. There was a time when it was a bar called La Cave des Moines. It hosted several drunken parties and even union meetings in the 1970s. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of Bilingual Language.
Education: Candidates must need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates must have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills
  • The candidate should have excellent oral communication

Other Requirements:

The candidate should be a team player

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to take, cancel and change room reservations
  • The candidate should be able to provide general information about points of interest in the area
  • The candidate should be able to do balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • The candidate should be able to answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  • The candidate should be able to provide customer service
