Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, and Health Care Aide Certificate
Security and safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, Immunization records, Vulnerable sector check, and Adult Abuse Registry check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and be capable of performing repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks, have manual dexterity, and be attentive to detail
- The candidates should be able to distinguish between colors, have sound discrimination abilities, and be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed
- The candidates should be able to walk as part of their tasks and be proficient in weight handling, up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

- The candidates should have a strong client focus, be dependable in their responsibilities, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication skills, be flexible in their approach to work, and show initiative

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities, perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, and perform other duties related to personal care
- The candidates should be able to take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, serve meal trays and feed patients, and bathe, dress, and groom patients
- The candidates should be able to make beds, maintain patients’ rooms, supervise patients’ exercise routines, and administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas
- The candidates should be able to maintain inventory of supplies, transport patients in a wheelchair or stretcher, answer call signals to determine patients’ needs, and collect specimens
- The candidates should be able to administer first aid in emergency situations
