Salary: $27.29 hourly for 11.5 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time
Location: 3483 Dartmoor Place, Vancouver, BC V5S 4G1
Shifts: Day, Morning
Target audience: Persons with an intellectual disability
Work setting: Group home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication and good judgement
  • The candidates should be team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform housekeeping activities and engage in food preparation
  • The candidates should be able to supervise activities of clients living in group homes and halfway houses and assist clients/guests with special needs
