Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field
Experience: Candidates should have five years of university experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of both undergraduate and graduate studies, university policies, and administrative and academic procedures
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in an office setting, involving extended periods of sitting and computer use
- The candidates should be able to attend meetings and events on campus
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to act as a Graduate Program Administrator, working in conjunction with the Graduate Supervisor (Journalism), responsible for all facets of administering the Master of Journalism program (MJ), performing all administrative functions associated with the Graduate Supervisor’s responsibilities, and acting in an advisory capacity
- The candidates should be able to act as an Administrative Assistant to the Program Head (Journalism), performing all administrative functions associated with the Program Head’s responsibilities and acting in an advisory capacity
- The candidates should be able to, as a member of the Journalism program/School administration staff, perform other related duties; provide administrative assistance in the absence of the Undergraduate Administrator (Journalism) in conjunction with the Undergraduate Supervisor (Journalism); act for the Administrator of the School of Journalism and Communication in their absence in conjunction with the COMS Graduate Administrator and for the Undergraduate Administrator
