Transportation information: Drive manual transmission vehicle, Own vehicle, and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Rural area

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Cattle breeding and Nursery or greenhouse
Equipment and machinery experience: Onion seeder, Onion transplanter, Automated irrigation system, Automated manure handling or storage system, Egg gathering system, Feeding and watering system, Fertilizer applicator, Harvesters, Milking system (automated), Seed drill, Sprayer or duster, Storage and silage system, Tractor
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience in beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, and possess knowledge of other miscellaneous crop farming practices
  • The candidates should be knowledgeable about chicken farming practices, familiar with goat farming methods, and have expertise in hay farming techniques
  • The candidates should be skilled in livestock combination farming, have experience in sheep farming, and have experience in dairy farming
  • The candidates should be comfortable working in dusty conditions, be able to work in hot environments, and be capable of working in noisy surroundings
  • The candidates should be able to tolerate various odours, be accustomed to working outdoors, and have expertise in livestock management
  • The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as part of their duties, and be comfortable standing for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads efficiently, possess manual dexterity for various tasks, and be able to handle physically demanding work
  • The candidates should be prepared for a large workload, able to work effectively under pressure, and willing to work overtime as required

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication skills and exhibit excellent written communication abilities
  • The candidates should display flexibility in adapting to changing situations and tasks and be organized in managing their responsibilities and tasks
  • The candidates should be effective team players, collaborating harmoniously with colleagues

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform calving, groom farm animals, and handle animals
  • The candidates should be able to manage feed inventory, clean greenhouses, and harvest seedlings
  • The candidates should be able to brand livestock, milk goats, and mix fertilizer
  • The candidates should be able to monitor animal health, cut seeds, and perform vegetable culling
  • The candidates should be able to utilize a vertical farming system, weed, and maintain farm machinery, equipment, and buildings
  • The candidates should be able to manage the overall operation of the farm, organize and coordinate planting, cultivating, and crop harvesting activities; raising and breeding of livestock and poultry, purchase machinery, livestock, seed, feed, and other supplies
  • The candidates should be able to determine the amount and kinds of crops to be grown and livestock to be raised, establish marketing programs, and perform general farm duties
  • The candidates should be able to recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers
