Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of one year of supervisory F and B experience in high volume operations
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to work more than 40 hours per week and be on their feet throughout a ten-hour day
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have Serving It Right and Food Safe Level One certifications and strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have barista experience and several years of experience in food and beverage
- The candidates should have strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- The candidates should have experience with the F and B POS system named Profitek
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to lead by example and develop a vibrant team that consistently delivers industry-best service and product quality and outlet policies and, in conjunction with Employee Experience, discipline employees
- The candidates should be able to train employees in all standard operating procedures of the cafe and ensure the system for securing all store rooms and fridge or freezer areas to prevent theft is being completed
- The candidates should be able to deliver Standard Operating Procedures, including exceeding Health and Safety regulations as required by Interior Health
- The candidates should be able to ensure Workplace Safety Standards are consistently achieved and participate in required operational meetings as directed and and develop positive morale and team spirit that leads to high productivity
- The candidates should be able to work directly with their superior to ensure tracking systems are in place to monitor product sold in their area to achieve COGS targets
- The candidates should be able to effectively communicate with all management, employees, guests, and anyone PMV does business with, ensuring communication is accurate, respectful, solves problems or issues, achieves goals, impresses guests, develops inspired employees, and enhances the PMV brand
- The candidates should be able to maintain a clean and orderly workplace, developing and executing a plan for deep cleaning to promote clean work areas and preventative maintenance
- The candidates should be able to engage employees, encourage them to generate ideas to benefit the resort, act on those ideas, and share customer comments with all staff through effective two-way communication
- The candidates should be able to act like an owner by working to increase sales and guest experience and ensure property, facilities, and equipment remain in good repair and appearance
- The candidates should be able to approve Fireside Café employee shifts in Dayforce prior to the weekly payroll cutoff and schedule employees to ensure full coverage of the café’s needs, adjusting staffing levels according to business volumes and budgets
