Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer, Willing to relocate, Rural area

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to do hog and pig farming

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to farm animal grooming, feed inventory, handle animals, supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
  • The candidates should be able to do livestock branding, monitoring animal health, suckering, ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
  • The candidates should be able to feed and tend animals, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, maintain quality control and production records
  • The candidates should be able to clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens, write daily basic progress reports, maintain livestock performance records
  • The candidates should be able to set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops, select livestock for sale
  • The candidates should be able to recognize and treat certain livestock health problems, perform general farm duties
  • The candidates should be able to provide agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses
