Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to do hog and pig farming
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to farm animal grooming, feed inventory, handle animals, supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
- The candidates should be able to do livestock branding, monitoring animal health, suckering, ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
- The candidates should be able to feed and tend animals, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, maintain quality control and production records
- The candidates should be able to clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens, write daily basic progress reports, maintain livestock performance records
- The candidates should be able to set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops, select livestock for sale
- The candidates should be able to recognize and treat certain livestock health problems, perform general farm duties
- The candidates should be able to provide agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses
