Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks while having attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and they should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as required

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be dependable and demonstrate flexibility while being reliable team players

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties while maintaining daycare equipment
  • The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and submitting written observations on children
  • The candidates should be able to engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, as well as guiding them in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and problems of children
