Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks effectively while having strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in their work
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout their shifts

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be punctual, arriving on time for all shifts and meetings while being dependable and consistently fulfilling their responsibilities
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, demonstrating flexibility and interpersonal awareness to communicate effectively and adapt to changing tasks and priorities
  • The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills for clear verbal interactions and accurate documentation
  • The candidates should be reliable, maintaining a consistent level of performance and being a team player who works collaboratively with colleagues
  • The candidates should uphold strong values and ethics in all aspects of their work

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, while engaging in storytelling activities and supervising staff, trainees, or volunteers
  • The candidates should assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • The candidates should encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, while guiding them in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • The candidates should prepare snacks, arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • The candidates should discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings, demonstrating knowledge of licensing regulations, and establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
  • The candidates should plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
  • The candidates should supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
