Salary: $28.85 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 4200 49 Ave, Innisfail, AB T4G 1M6, Canada
Shifts: Day, Evening, Shift, Overtime, Morning
Work setting: Child care centre, rural area, and day care centre or nursery school
Supervision: 3-4 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1), child development supervisor (ECE level 3), child development worker (ECE level 2), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, and First Aid Certificate 

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should manage repetitive tasks efficiently and be prepared for physically demanding work, willing to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate reliability in fulfilling commitments and responsibilities, functioning effectively as team players, fostering collaboration and cooperation

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • The candidates should be able to provide opportunities for children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
