Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Medical exam, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, and Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks, perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and bend, crouch, and kneel as needed
- The candidates should have attention to detail
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be punctual, dependable, and reliable, and have efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and interpersonal awareness
- The candidates should have good judgment, be a team player, and have strong values and ethics
- The candidates should be creative and have the ability to multitask
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, develop and implement child-care programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development, and engage in storytelling
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development, lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and encourage creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, prepare snacks, arrange rooms for lunch and rest periods, and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems
- The candidates should be able to submit written observations to early childhood educators or supervisors, discuss progress and problems at staff meetings, and have knowledge of licensing regulations
- The candidates should be able to establish guidelines for behavior, attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers, and plan and maintain a safe environment for children
