Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed college or CEGEP education
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should exhibit dependability in fulfilling job responsibilities and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to various tasks and situations
  • The candidates should be reliable in consistently meeting work expectations and be effective team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers
  • The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and provide opportunities for children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members, attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and problems of children, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
