Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Security and safety: Child Abuse Registry check and Medical exam
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks and have strong attention to detail
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assess children’s development to prepare tailored learning plans, develop and implement child-care programs, and lead activities such as telling stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, and engage them in activities like preparing crafts while guiding them in proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of learning or behavioral problems, prepare and submit written reports to parents or supervisors, and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and issues
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers, plan and maintain a safe environment for children, and supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
