Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a two year community college diploma in Civil Engineering Technician
Experience: Candidates should have three years of experience in Engineering Design with an emphasis on municipal servicing, storm water management, and road design, preferably in a municipal setting
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess equivalent education and have the ability to obtain C.Tech designation; C.E.T. designation
- The candidates should have a comprehensive understanding and technical knowledge of municipal infrastructure, urban planning processes, including knowledge of Provincial regulations including Planning and Municipal Acts
- The candidates should have time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple and changing demands and priorities
- The candidates should be proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and engineering reports and documents
- The candidates should have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to work autonomously representing the City during meetings
- The candidates should have experience working with computer applications including Microsoft Office, G.I.S. systems, Adobe Acrobat Pro; knowledge of Bluebeam Revu
- The candidates should possess a valid driver’s license in good standing during the course of employment
