Our Lady of Lebanon Parish is a beacon of faith and community for Lebanese and Maronite Catholics. Salary: $15.20 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: 111 Clayton Park Drive Halifax, NS B3M 1M3
Shifts: Day, 08:30 to 16:30
Work setting: Private business, Outdoor centre, and Recreational or cultural centre
Supervision: More than 20 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Child Abuse Registry check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate accuracy in their work and exhibit dependability
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate excellent oral communication
- The candidates should have excellent written communication skills, show initiative, and demonstrate interpersonal awareness
- The candidates should display good judgment, be organized, reliable, and team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness, or sports activities and techniques, keep logs, maintain records, schedule activities, supervise staff, and train and supervise staff
- The candidates should be able to instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts, lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs, plan and carry out recreational, fitness, and sports activities, and prepare reports
- The candidates should understand the principles of group dynamics, be able to schedule activities, keep logs, maintain records, and prepare reports, patrol/supervise activities, assist clients/guests with special needs, ensure health and safety regulations are followed, and assemble supplies, sports, and game equipment
