Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend and Morning
Work setting: Staff accommodation is available, rural area, relocation costs not covered by employer and willing to relocate
Work site environment: Candidates should work in corn farming, hay farming, wheat farming, dusty, odours, outdoors, dairy, grain, oil and forage crop and livestock
Security and safety: Basic security clearance required and driver’s validity licence should checked
Transportation/travel information: Valid driver’s licence required, own transportation required, willing to travel and travel expenses not paid by employer
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have steel-toed safety boots
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure, in fast-paced environment and also pay attention to detail
- The candidate should be physically strong and also a combination of sitting, standing, walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in an organized way
- The candidate should be a team player
- The candidate should have an excellent oral and written communication
- The candidate should have experience of equipment and machinery like Automated manure handling or storage system, Bulk handling system, Feeding and watering system, Milking system (automated), Storage and silage system and also Tractor
- The candidate should have specialization on agricultural livestock service and also dairy cattle
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to soil fertility programs and also stone and/or wood picking
- The candidate should be able to provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting, provide agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment and also perform general farm duties
- The candidate should be able to calving, feed inventory, handling animals and also monitoring animal health
- The candidate should be able to formulate feeding program, maintain livestock performance records, maintain quality control and production records, recognize and treat certain livestock health problems, supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs and also maintain work records and logs
