Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Cuisine specialties: Japanese cuisine

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods with proficiency and attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their dietary needs are met safely and accurately
  • The candidates should be able to plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies effectively to maintain smooth kitchen operations
  • The candidates should be able to inspect kitchens and food service areas regularly to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • The candidates should be able to train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food, providing guidance and support as needed
  • The candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment promptly and efficiently to maintain adequate inventory levels
  • The candidates should be able to supervise kitchen staff and helpers, delegating tasks and overseeing their performance to ensure quality and efficiency
  • The candidates should be able to maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment accurately to facilitate smooth kitchen operations
  • The candidates should be able to clean the kitchen and work areas thoroughly, following established sanitation and hygiene standards
  • The candidates should be able to manage kitchen operations effectively, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal performance
