Salary: $36.00 to $42.00 hourly (to be negotiated) for 35 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Squamish, BC
Transportation information: Valid driver’s license
Work setting: Willing to relocate, Equipment operation, Excavation
Supervision: 16-20 people, Working groups, Heavy equipment operators, except crane, Labourers

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Type of industry experience: Construction
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure
  • The candidates should be willing to for overtime
  • The candidates should be able to work in a noisy area, outdoors, and in a dusty area

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, dependable, organized, and reliable
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to estimate costs and materials, and to oversee apprenticeship training
  • The candidates should be able to prepare production and other reports
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate and schedule activities
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
  • The candidates should be able to ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • The candidates should be able to establish methods to meet work schedules, read blueprints and drawings, and be able to requisition materials and supplies
  • The candidates should be able to supervise workers and projects and be able to train or arrange for training
