Salary: $15.00 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 80 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience in oilseed (except soybean) and wheat farming
  • The candidates should be able to work in hot, cold/refrigerated environments, and capable of working in all weather conditions
  • The candidates should be comfortable with working in dirty environments
  • The candidates should have the ability to work independently and be able to work in a fast-paced environment, capable of performing repetitive tasks, and able to work under pressure
  • The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads, able to meet tight deadlines, and prepared for physically demanding tasks, demonstrating hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • The candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods, with bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed, and prepared for a large workload
  • The candidates should be able to discriminate sounds as required and willing to work overtime when required, comfortable sitting as needed, and with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be capable of walking as needed and capable of handling weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs), including more than 45 kg (100 lbs) when required

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills, show flexibility, and demonstrate good judgment
  • The candidates should be organized, reliable team players who uphold values and ethics, and be quick learners

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to apply fertilizers, cut agricultural crops, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, and clean work areas
  • The candidates should be able to fertilize and spray crops, as well as harvest crops
