The Local Public House is a cozy and inviting pub known for its warm hospitality and relaxed atmosphere. Specializing in hearty pub fare and a wide selection of beverages, including local craft beers and spirits, The Local Public House offers a quintessential Newfoundland dining experience. The menu features traditional dishes with a modern twist, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: Smart Serve 

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to arrange the bar area to make attractive displays, clean the bar area and wash glassware, and collect cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment for beverages
  • The candidates should be able to operate the cash register, operate video lottery terminals, and record and balance beverage sales
  • The candidates should be able to store beverage and food products, address customers’ complaints or concerns, and enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • The candidates should be able to prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages; take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons; and resolve conflict situations
