Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of undergraduate degree in Public Administration, Business Administration and Human Resources
Experience: Candidates should have five years of senior management experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should typically obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job through a recognized or related field, plus ten (10) years of progressive management experience in a related field, including five
- The candidates should possess a master’s degree in a related field
- The candidates should recognize that this is a Position of Trust, and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide workplace education and training for public servants, with an emphasis on increasing Inuit employment and developing strong Inuit leaders for the government and Territory
- The candidates should be able to develop a Human Resource strategy, giving priority to increasing Inuit employment and strengthening human resource capacity across the public service, and perform the implementation
- The candidates should be able to determine the priority of policy, procedures, regulations, and standards of development work in the division and ensure that sufficient and appropriate human resources have been allocated to the tasks
- The candidates should be able to recruit and manage employees and contract personnel
- The candidates should be able to direct and manage multi-disciplinary projects
- The candidates should be able to develop training plans for the branch
- The candidates should be able to develop and manage plans and budgets for the branch
