Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a university degree in an related field
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in a combination of strategic and operational business planning

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be individuals with the ability to track complex projects, coordinate resources, and meet deadlines
  • The candidates should demonstrate alignment with the Cultural Commitments of Safe, Helpful, Accountable, Integrated, and Excellent, fostering an environment for others to do the same

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to coordinate the branch’s role on strategic priorities identified by Council related to policies and programs, including, but not limited to, grant programs, exemption programs, rebate and deferral programs, tax increment financing approaches, tax subclasses, and other City agreements
  • The candidates should be able to build and maintain tracking documents on policies and programs and coordinate the execution of branch-specific program roles, ensuring relevant deadlines are met
  • The candidates should be able to monitor program work and provide data-driven reporting and recommendations where required and create and maintain an inventory of Council’s strategic policies and priorities that require branch involvement
  • The candidates should be able to support the writing of reports, briefings, and other materials and respond to public inquiries related to the area of expertise
  • The candidates should be able to engage with stakeholders across the Corporation to ensure the successful execution of policies and programs and perform research, analysis, and reporting on related programs and policies
  • The candidates should be able to maintain, track, and update critical assessment and taxation data spreadsheets to support informed decision making and able to perform additional related duties
