Salary: $21.06 hourly for 40 to 50 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Mussel sites (land/barge) and Commercial aquatic farm


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need any degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Aquaculture — mussels, Mussel socking, harvesting, Stripping, and Cyster

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, in/on water, and in wet/damp conditions
  • The candidates should be adept at thriving in a fast-paced environment and have experience in performing repetitive tasks efficiently
  • The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads as part of their job requirements and be physically fit, able to meet the demands of a physically demanding role
  • The candidates should possess manual dexterity, demonstrating skill and precision in tasks requiring hand coordination, and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs

  • The candidates should exhibit dependability, consistently delivering reliable and high-quality work
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, facilitating effective communication with clients and colleagues and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing work environments and tasks
  • The candidates should show initiative by proactively taking on responsibilities and finding solutions and exercise good judgment in decision-making within the scope of their role
  • The candidates should be team players, collaborating seamlessly with colleagues to achieve common goals

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position


  • The candidates should be able to write daily basic progress reports
  • The candidates should be able to operate, maintain, and clean pumps, filters, and other aquaculture equipment
  • The candidates should be able to transport marine plants to processing plants
  • The candidates should be able to assist aquaculture technicians in the operation of fish hatcheries or other aquatic farms
  • The candidates should be able to participate in the harvesting of seedlings
