Shifts: Morning, daytime, night and overnight

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have minimum grade 12 education or equivalent experience or Post Secondary Education
Experience: Candidates should have minimum one year existing Ramp and/or Supervisor Experience or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should work with minimal supervision and/or in a team environment, handling varied and/or split shifts and be capable of supervising a team of up to 1, working on varying air carrier ops procedures
  • The candidates should ensure the sort, load, and unload of baggage and cargo from flights aligns with air carrier policy and manage approximately 4-12 flights per shift
  • The candidates should possess the ability to manage and engage in conflict resolution procedures when required and be willing to adapt to the changing nature of aviation
  • The candidates should be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and effectively communicate all concerns to management
  • The candidates should maintain a professional and experienced level of service with all Maintair customers

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess a current Criminal Record Check and have a Current Restricted Area Pass (RAIC)
  • The candidates should demonstrate knowledge of aviation and its related terms, short forms, and verbiage, holding a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
  • The candidates should exhibit proficiency in speaking, writing, and understanding the English language and showcase excellent team player competencies

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to oversee the servicing of lavatories and potable water in accordance with company standards and engage a work team of up to 16 people to meet Service Level Agreements and carrier policies
  • The candidates should be able to propel and engage new team members through direct mentorship and hands-on training, advising management of no-show or late team members and productivity issues
  • The candidates should be able to manage shift schedules, address no-shows, lates, and sick calls, including replacement team members, and delegate tasks as required while ensuring downtime productivity with their team
  • The candidates should be able to delegate flight duties per flight, ensuring accountability, and be hands-on, working with the team to prioritize safety and efficiency
  • The candidates should be able to complete necessary FOD Walks, Pre/Post Flight Briefings, Workplace inspections, etc., and collaborate with co-workers and customers (ATW, BTW) for the strategic and efficient use of their team
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the safe operation of all GSE and related equipment, reporting violations, and oversee the daily inspection of all equipment and complete DSI logs
  • The candidates should be able to complete and ensure the accuracy of MVT Reports and attend all required training sessions to actively participate in company and air carrier safety programs
  • The candidates should be able to communicate changes in policy to the ramp team as they occur and work as team members in a safe, efficient, professional manner
  • The candidates should be able to adhere to and manage published uniform standards and PPE requirements, follow all safety guidelines and safe workplace procedures, and follow the company SMS Program – Safety; First, Last, Always
