Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School diploma
Experience: Candidates should have at least 4 years of industry experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time of any employment offer, with securing any required work permits or visas being their sole responsibility
- The candidates should have endorsements on Air Canada aircraft type and available to work nights, evenings, and days, including weekends and holidays
- The candidates should accept that the night shift is the permanent position for this posting, with the possibility of change based on seniority
- The candidates should be eligible to work in Canada and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit (Mandatory)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have completed a recognized apprenticeship program and possess a Transport Canada AME M2
- The candidates should possess a valid driver’s license (Mandatory) and successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam, physical, and a security check
- The candidates should possess a restricted radio operator’s permit (aviation) and meet Air Canada medical standards, as this role involves safety-critical work, and will be subject to a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test
- The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations depending on the work location, as per Transport Canada regulations and a current security clearance
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to use the correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance
- The candidates should be able to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and be proficient with computers and diagnostic tools
- The candidates should be able to work as “team players” with excellent written and verbal communication skills and maintain a customer-focused attitude in a demanding, high-stress environment
