Lotus Terminals Ltd based in Surrey, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Administrative assistant. Lotus Terminals Ltd is an active local family owned and operated asset-based freight and transportation enterprise. We have built a team of experienced and caring professionals working out of our state-of-the-art 10-acre facility offering Intermodal Drayage across North America servicing all major ports, rail terminals and more. We also offer various flatbed trucking equipment for FTL/LTL dry van needs including oversize, over-dimensional and overweight freight. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office
Area of specialization: Correspondence, Reports and records, Contracts, Invoices

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, client focus, multitask, organized, flexible, and reliable

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences, determine and establish office procedures and routines
  • The candidates should be able to schedule and confirm appointments, answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, answer electronic enquiries, compile data, statistics and other information
  • The candidates should be able to greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas, open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information
  • The candidates should be able to order office supplies and maintain inventory, arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations, set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
