Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plan, set up and administer accounting systems, train staff, ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
- The candidates should be able to prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies, prepare reports and audit findings
- The candidates should be able to supervise staff, prepare financial statements and reports, recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
- The candidates should be able to conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act or other statutory requirements, develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure
- The candidates should be able to prepare income tax returns from accounting records, analyze financial documents and reports
- The candidates should be able to examine accounting records
- The candidates should be able to provide financial, business and tax advice, underwrite new issues of stocks and bonds, review and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulation
- The candidates should be able to make recommendations concerning cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement and estate planning, investigate possible unethical conduct or breeches of securities or commodity futures law
- The candidates should be able to identify clients’ financial goals and objectives, arrange for sale of financial products and investments
- The candidates should be able to analyze clients’ financial records, develop financial plans for clients
