This is your opportunity to help us deliver on our customers? promises.</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Job Description</b></p> <p> </p> <p><b>Location:</b></p> <p>1300 Kelly Lake Road, Sudbury, Ontario</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Scheduled Shift:</b></p> <p>Monday – Friday</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Working Hours:</b></p> <p>11:00am – 7:30pm (40 hours weekly)</p> <p> </p> <p><b>310S License needed</b></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <div><div><div><strong>Description</strong> </div><div><p>The Class “A” Mechanic inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and/or installs parts on delivery vehicles and equipment to ensure proper function and vehicle safety. </p> </div></div><div><div><strong>Responsibilities</strong> </div><div><p>Inspect, service, and repair delivery and related vehicles to meet vehicle safety, operational, and productivity goals and standards<br> Conduct maintenance and repairs, order parts, document and update work orders, communicate with suppliers and operations, etc.)<br> Diagnose, troubleshoot, and report quality control issues (e.g., wipers not working) to determine their cause and identify if mechanical or general repairs or changes to the vehicle warranty are required<br> Conduct repairs, order and install parts, and inform customers of the status of repairs.<br> Maintain parts inventory and purchase parts required for vehicle maintenance and repairs. <br> Determines if parts can be rebuilt or repaired and returned to the active inventory.<br> Coordinate administrative requirements for preventative maintenance <br> Provide emergency road service when vehicles break down on route to assess if the vehicle can be repaired on site<br> Identifies root causes and repair options (e.g., location of repair, payment options, parts or other materials required, methods of payment, etc.)<br> Arrange for trucks to be picked up through third party vendors (towing companies), etc.).</p> </div></div><div><div><strong>Additional Responsibilities</strong> </div><div></div></div><div><div><strong>Education</strong> </div><div><p>Completion of Community College of About Two Academic Years – Specialized trade or occupational courses.</p> </div></div><div><div><strong>Experience</strong> </div><div><p>Trade certification as an Automotive Service Technician (310S) to inspect, diagnose, repair, and service mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components for cars, buses, and trucks.<br> 5 years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive equipment.<br> Quebec requires competence card from the parity committee or 3 years of experience with a letter attesting to its competence for a vehicle fleet<br> G driver license.</p> </div></div><div><div><strong>Skills</strong> </div><div><div>Troubleshoot Mechanical And Collision Repairs</div><div>Vehicle Maintenance</div><div>Service Reports and Logs Maintenance</div></div></div></div><p> </p> <p><b>POSTING DETAILS</b><br> <b>Location: </b>504 – Sudbury <br> <b>Working Conditions:</b> Warehouse Environment</p> <p><b>Posting Number: </b> 66263 <br> —</p> <p><em>Purolator is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
