Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Computer and technology knowledge: Price scanner and Interact machine
Security and safety: Bondable

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and manage physically demanding tasks
  • The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks, able to stand for extended periods, and work under pressure
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed, and handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Candidate Status:

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, load buspans and trays, and operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
  • The candidates should be able to place dishes in storage areas, sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans
  • The candidates should be able to package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
  • The candidates should be able to serve customers at counters or buffet tables, stock refrigerators and salad bars, and take customers’ orders
  • The candidates should be able to use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, and handle and store cleaning products
  • The candidates should be able to receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  • The candidates should be able to wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, operate cash registers, and process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments
  • The candidates should be able to scan items, tabulate total payment for goods or services required, and receive payment for goods or services
  • The candidates should be able to stock shelves and clean counter areas, greet customers, and wrap or place merchandise in bags
  • The candidates should be able to weigh produce and bulk foods, provide customer service, and assist customers with self-checkout
  • The candidates should be able to verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products, monitor all entrances and exits, and request proof of payment when necessary
