Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Area of work experience: Appraisal, Jewellery assembling and Repair
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in fine jewelry and demonstrate a strong attention to detail
- The candidates should possess excellent hand-eye coordination and be comfortable with tasks that involve sitting
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be known for their accuracy in tasks and demonstrate a strong client focus
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication abilities, exercise good judgment in decision-making, and be effective team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices and supervise other jewellers or watch repairers
- The candidates should be able to appraise gemstones and diamonds, identifying rare specimens and detecting peculiarities affecting stone values
- The candidates should be able to examine, cut, shape, and polish diamonds and precious and synthetic gems
- The candidates should be able to fabricate and repair precious and semi-precious metal jewellery, as well as set stones in jewellery mountings
