Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide corporate support and coordination for Toronto’s involvement in major sporting events, from the bidding process to event delivery and project management tracking, research, meeting management, technical support, strategic advice, technical coordination and related support for public and special events
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement detailed plans under the direction of the Director of the Secretariat or Project Manager
- The candidates should be able to coordinate event logistics including site inspections, site plans, production schedules and technical coordination and build strong partnerships and liaise with various agencies, divisions and external partners involved in the FIFA World Cup 2026
- The candidates should be able to maintain partnerships with various city services and departments for all Toronto special events and monitor corporate and divisional games and event activities against objectives, timelines and milestones
- The candidates should be able to conduct research into assigned areas and ensure project expenditures are within approved budgets and deal with highly confidential matters such as intergovernmental relations and contractual agreements
- The candidates should be able to support corporate games and events operational planning, preparedness, post-evaluation, negotiation and management of Municipal Service Agreements
- The candidates should be able to update documentation regularly to support City Secretariat operations and corporate games and event oversight and assist with end-to-end project planning, coordination, implementation, administration evaluation of corporate initiatives related to the games and events
- The candidates should be able to prepare briefing, presentation, and meeting materials for senior City officials and formal contractual documents such as RFIs, RFPs and RFQs
- The candidates should be able to represent the City at meetings with coordinating bodies or provide support to senior staff and oversee professional services contracts to deliver community consultation, focus group and market research goals
