Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should be enrolled in a recognized Co-operative Education Program at a Canadian Post-Secondary Institution
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist with the ongoing improvement, maintenance, and implementation of the City’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System
- The candidates should be able to participate in the planning and completion of health and safety projects that align with the department’s strategic goals, objectives, and key performance indicators by providing support within the office or in the field
- The candidates should be able to complete research, analyze and interpret health and safety data, prepare summaries, support the completion of risk assessments, safe job procedures, and safe work practices, take part in field and shop inspections, and present to supervisor and key stakeholders for next steps
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for improvement and engage with stakeholders to solicit and document feedback. Under the direct guidance and observation of the supervisor, assist with the ongoing enhancement of the City’s operations by utilizing existing tools and software platforms
- The candidates should be able to participate in the development and improvement of future-focused projects that align with the department’s strategic goals and objectives by providing supernumerary field or office support
- The candidates should be able to conduct and document research, analyze and interpret data, prepare a summary of findings, draft reports, procedures, and/or practices, and present to the supervisor for feedback and/or next steps
- The candidates should be able to assist with identifying and testing new and/or enhanced tools and processes and collaborate to ensure ‘shared learning’
