Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have current enrollment full-time at a post-secondary institution, in an animal health technology post-secondary diploma program
Experience: Candidates should have experience handling and being around cats, dogs and other animals

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist Registered Veterinary Technologists (RVT’s) with rounds, admitting patients, administering medication, IV placement, blood collection, and radiology
- The candidates should be able to complete initial examinations of newly arrived patients, administer vaccinations under direction, and restrain patients for examinations by the vet
- The candidates should be able to determine where the animals are housed according to species, size, or illness of the animal
- The candidates should be able to perform data entry and record-keeping, maintain logbooks, and manage digital data
- The candidates should be able to communicate with rescue group contacts for animal placement
- The candidates should be able to assist the Veterinarian with surgery and animal restraint
- The candidates should be able to clean the surgery suite, re-wrap packs, and operate the autoclave
- The candidates should be able to clean animal housing areas and provide animal enrichment
- The candidates should be able to perform any other related duties as required
