Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Emergency Management or a related field
Experience: Candidates should have at least 10 years of relevant experience in the public sector
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a Master’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience in the public sector
- The candidates should possess strong communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation, with diverse audiences including senior Leadership, Councillors, social agencies, and citizens

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to be responsible for complex and evolving strategic and business needs of Operational Services (OS) by identifying, escalating, and communicating Departmental existing issues or those emerging issues that may affect the Department and the Corporation’s ability to deliver on its objectives and services to Calgarians
- The candidates should be able to lead the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and initiatives and develop, maintain, and advance an issues management program
- The candidates should be able to coordinate, inform and advise, and respond to issue and risk management strategies, leading or facilitating discussion on risk tolerance levels
- The candidates should be able to develop, coordinate, and facilitate learning opportunities and develop tools and processes and communicate and coordinate with partners required to address short-, medium-, and long-term effectiveness of issues and risk for the Department
- The candidates should be able to analyze the potential impacts of issues, develop appropriate mitigation, management, communication strategies, and manage the implementation of issue management plans
- The candidates should be able to prepare key deliverables such as reports, presentations, and business cases
- The candidates should be able to lead the implementation of Operational Services issues management framework, represent the department with the corporate issues management teams, and collaborate effectively with partners
- The candidates should be able to prepare reports, briefings, and presentations for delivery to Operational Services Senior Leadership Team
- The candidates should be able to review existing issues management practices and reporting methods, identify gaps through in-depth analysis, and advocate Operational Services position on key issues to other partners
