Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language and should be bilingual
Education: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: CPR Certificate, Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner by the province/territory of work
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong attention to detail
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to care for, assess, and monitor the health of newborns and refer infants to appropriate medical services as required
- The candidates should be able to provide advice and guidance regarding care for newborns and young infants
- The candidates should be able to advise patients on health care
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team and plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care
- The candidates should be able to examine patients, take their medical histories, and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health
- The candidates should be able to order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
- The candidates should be able to conduct patient interviews, perform physical assessments, and take medical histories
- The candidates should be able to formulate and implement treatment plans and monitor patients’ progress
- The candidates should be able to inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
- The candidates should be able to perform or order diagnostic tests and interpret results
- The candidates should be able to provide health maintenance education
