The Government of Yukon based in Whitehorse, YT is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Client Services Agent.   • The candidate should be able to work with a vision to make a difference in the lives of Yukoners
  • The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client, support people, to build sustainably, and to advance reconciliation throughout Yukon.
  • The candidate should be able to work as the key public representative of the Motor Vehicles unit, which has the regulatory authority under the Motor Vehicles Act to issue driver license, GIC’s, vehicle registrations, various permits, and to apply sanctions to driver licenses and to cancel vehicle registrations
  • The candidate should have a considerable experience providing customer service in a high traffic/high volume regulatory environment and also have an experience working within legislation and policy frameworks to carry out effective customer service delivery
  • The candidate should have experience performing duties related to registration, licensing and/or permitting preferably within a government or large organization and also have experience handling financial transactions (debit/credit card, cash) and reconciling cash.
  • The candidate should have an excellent organizational skills and adaptability to changing priorities and also have the ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • The candidate should have the ability to act tactfully and use diplomacy when dealing with confidential matters and also have an effective communication skills
  • The candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to contribute to a team and maintain effective relationships

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient public highways, airstrips, buildings, and information systems
  • The candidate should be responsible for providing front-line services to the general public
  • The candidate should be able to provide key services that impact upon the identity, mobility, independence and safety of the vast majority of Yukon citizens, as well as citizens from other jurisdictions and countries
