Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Mental health first aid Certificate, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Enhanced reliability security clearance
Target audience: Aboriginal groups, Culturally diverse groups, Males, Persons with an intellectual disability, Persons with learning disabilities, Persons with mental health disabilities, Street population
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to make corrections and prevent crimes
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be client focus, initiative, flexible, and judgmental
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to obtain information and prepare reports or case histories, administrative and office activities
- The candidates should be able to do housekeeping activities, appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services
- The candidates should be able to provide suicide and crisis intervention, resolve conflict situations
- The candidates should be able to supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
- The candidates should be able to assist offenders in pre-release and release planning
