Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Grade 12
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in a customer service or hospitality industry, banquets captain, Supervising cafes and restaurants

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess the physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing for long periods, navigating stairs, and working in darkened areas
  • The candidates should have the ability to lift and carry items, up to 30 pounds
  • The candidates should be capable of providing feedback to supervisors regarding staff performance or skill-building
  • The candidates should be resourceful problem solvers who enjoy working in a fast-paced, diverse, and multi-faceted team environment
  • The candidates should have the ability to work non-standard hours

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have Serving it Right certification and Food Safe Level 1 certification
  • The candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and be an energetic, positive, and enthusiastic self-starter and demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and collaboration
  • The candidates should have experience in coaching, mentoring, delegating work, and taking direction from supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to contribute effectively as team members and have experience in building high-functioning teams with a strong focus on customer service
  • The candidates should have preferred knowledge of all VCT venues’ layouts and proven track record of going above and beyond expectations
  • The candidates should have working knowledge of special requirements related to food and beverage equipment and knowledge of VCT operations and regulations as they relate to the work
  • The candidates should have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word and Excel
  • The candidates should have a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail and knowledge of Momentous and Volante (POS) software
  • The candidates should have the ability to work tactfully and effectively with the public and difficult patrons
  • The candidates should have strong customer service skills and strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure items for sale are correctly displayed, maintain adequate stock levels, and replenish to optimum levels
  • The candidates should be able to participate in and deliver TA1 pre-shift briefings according to specific instructions for the event
  • The candidates should be able to provide supervision, guidance, training, and coaching to TA1 staff
  • The candidates should be able to support staff orientation and cross-training efforts as required, and provide feedback on TA1 staff performance to the Audience Services Manager, Event Manager, and TA3s
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to the creation and implementation of Training Manuals and Standard Operating Procedures
  • The candidates should be able to ensure cleanliness of sales locations and equipment and check Operations Sheets for accuracy and completeness
  • The candidates should be able to complete sales records and inventory forms accurately and assume duties within the VCT Fire Plan
  • The candidates should be able to ensure ticket scanners are prepared and in working order before each event
  • The candidates should be able to ensure programs are stuffed and distributed according to guidelines
  • The candidates should be able to perform other duties as directed by the TA3
