Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Experience with special needs children: Assistance with mobility
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, kneel, manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and work in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, be available for overtime when required, and be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, sit, stand for extended periods, and walk
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be punctual, focused on clients, and dependable
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, and be flexible
- The candidates should take initiative, have good judgment, and be organized

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, assist clients in water (i.e. pool), and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, change non-sterile dressings, and collect specimens
- The candidates should be able to feed or assist in feeding, launder clothing and household linens, and mend clothing and linens
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, plan therapeutic diets and menus, and provide companionship
- The candidates should be able to provide personal care, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and cook
