Type of materials: Steel, iron and heavy metals
Welding techniques: Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and Flux core arc welding (FCAW)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication and Factory assembly
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine and Gas welding machine
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, manage physically demanding tasks, and stand for extended periods, while also lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and having attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, have excellent oral communication skills, be flexible, organized, and be team players
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications, read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes, and examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, be proficient in computer-aided design (CAD), and operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) (AOC)
- The candidates should be able to determine the weldability of materials
