Target audience: Persons with Alzheimer’s disease, Elderly, Persons with a disability, Persons with an intellectual disability, Persons with mental health disabilities, and Persons with physical disabilities
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking, perform repetitive tasks, sit for extended periods, stand for extended periods, and walk as part of their duties
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong client focus, be dependable, flexible, and demonstrate initiative, have good judgment, be organized, and reliable
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer medications, assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and assist in regular exercise, such as walking
- The candidates should be able to launder and mend clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and plan therapeutic diets and menus
- The candidates should be able to provide companionship, offer personal care, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
