Work setting: Rural area and various locations
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Automated systems experience: Bulk grain or feed handling – automated, manure handling and storage
Equipment and machinery experience: Egg gathering system, feeding and watering system
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in broiler and other meat-type chicken production and have experience in chicken farming
- The candidates should be able to work outdoors and be accustomed to dusty conditions
- The candidates should be able to tolerate various odours associated with chicken farming
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be prepared for physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and proficient in walking
- The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be organized in managing tasks and schedules, and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing situations and tasks
- The candidates should be team players, collaborating effectively with colleagues
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to feed and tend animals, detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry, and write daily basic progress reports
- The candidates should be able to set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops
