Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 10 years nursing experience which includes clinical nursing and administrative experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have current registration with the appropriate nursing association
- The candidates should possess excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills
- The candidates should have a passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care
- The candidates should have knowledge about French as an asset
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to monitor trends and developments in evidence-based leading clinical practice and work in partnership with operations to support the implementation of new and improved practices
- The candidates should be able to lead quality improvement initiatives
- The candidates should be able to identify opportunities to improve clinical workflow through improved use of data and electronic platforms
- The candidates should be able to research and make recommendations regarding innovations in resident care strategies and infection control best practices
- The candidates should be able to encourage and promote relationships with outside resources/organizations to meet resident and clinical education needs
- The candidates should be able to facilitate clinical education regularly across all operating units, with topics determined based on priorities established in collaboration with the Regional Director of Operations and Director of Clinical Practice
- The candidates should be able to identify opportunities for improvement relating to regulatory requirements, clinical practice policies, and other organizational standards
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with the Clinical Quality Support Specialist and Clinical Education and Policy Advisor to create corrective action plans as needed
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with the Clinical Education and Policy Advisor to recommend, coordinate, and facilitate clinical education
- The candidates should be able to ensure resident safety by following and applying all standard operational procedures, safe work practices, and training provided
